Unsafe Jan 21 st 2012 Comments Not sure how long ago I started using OSGi . Perhaps it was 12 months ago or then perhaps 18. And yet I still find it painful using OSGi especially every time I bring in a foreign set of jars into the ecosystem . And yet I continue to be a dogged proponent . Here†s . why First let us understand one of the many problems OSGi solves . Let us imagine your java application has exactly three classes . One is the class you wrote called “My.java” bundled in a jar called “my.jar” . Another is a class called “Uses.java” whose api and features are leveraged by “My.java” and is

The recording of my talk is now available on InfoQ It's always a little odd to watch myself giving a talk , especially when it's the first time I've ever given a specific talk and , in this case , particularly when it's the first time I've ever had to give a 25 minute talk instead of 40-60 minutes It's a high-level talk . I show a couple of slides of code but I didn't have time to dig into how things really work at World Singles . I hope to get a chance

K . Scott Allen Experiments In Writing Home MVC 4 Video Outtakes Swinging on a Canvas Building on top of requestAnimationFrame from earlier this week , I put together a simple example of using basic verlet integration to simulate a swinging rope in an HTML 5 canvas . You can pull the source from github or try the sample on jsFiddle It’s amazing what you can do just by adding numbers together in a certain fashion . To make things interesting , there is also an option to let the rope leave a trail of pixels behind as it swings , which can make for interesting patterns as shown in the image in this post Print posted Thursday , July 26, 2012 9:12 AM Comments on this : entry No comments posted . yet Your : comment : Title : Name : Email : Website : Comment Remember Me Please add 7 and 1 and
