Langley Breaks Career, Single-Season Points Records as No. 8/9 Garnet Defeat Haverford 2-0 on Senior Day

Senior Morgan Langley scored a pair of goals to break the program's single season and career points records, leading the No. 8/9 Swarthmore College men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over arch-rival Haverford on Saturday evening in front a capacity crowd at Clothier Field Stadium.
LANCASTER, Pa. - Led by two goals from freshman midfielder Megan Brock and a recording-setting assist from senior Kirsten Peterson, the Swarthmore Garnet women’s soccer team (8-7-2, 6-4) closed out the 2010 regular season with a resounding 4-0 victory over the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats (7-8-1, 3-7) on Saturday evening at F&M’s Tylus Field.

In a battle between two of the top teams in the Conference and in the region, senior Morgan Langley scored his team-leading 12th goal of the season in the 48th minute to give the No. 8/9 Swarthmore College men's soccer team a 1-0 road victory over No. 20 Muhlenberg on Wednesday evening from Allentown.
With the win, the Garnet (13-1-2, 6-0-2) secure the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Centennial Conference playoffs and home-field advantage for the event. The Swarthmore win also hands the Mules their first loss of the 2010 season (8-16).
Swarthmore, Pa. - Playing her final game at Clothier Field Stadium, senior Sophia Ferguson scored a late second-half goal for the Swarthmore College field hockey team (6-11, 3-6), but visiting Haverford scored four goals in each half en route to the 8-1 victory over the Garnet on a wet Wednesday afternoon.
