    Updated: 2012-05-31 19:28:45
2012 Computex Show is just around the corner, so we’ll be seeing manufacturers share sneak peeks online to entice Journalists that will be covering the event.  Lian Li has a history of unveiling unique or “odd” designs to stir up attention at Computex. You may recall their tribute to the Hotel Dub, PC-888 in 2009 or the spider looking T1 ITX test bench in 2010. The Lian Li PC-CK101 resembles a steam engine locomotive and will move back and forth at Lian Li’s booth. It’s stack will blow steam too! The PC-CK101 case will be unvieled at Computex next week in Taipei from June 5 to June 9, 2012 in . . .

  • Corsair Vengeance C70 Military Mid-tower Case Dissection & Review.

    Updated: 2012-05-30 05:08:56
Hello CMB Readers! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a case review article. It feels good to get back into investigating a new case design. I want to thank everyone at Corsair for sending me this sample. I’ve noticed some reviewers are trying not to call the Vengeance c70 a “theme” case, but come on, it’s pretty obvious. Corsair knows what type of products people want and would be foolish to ignore the success of Military theme PC games. I’ve seen some weak attempts at “Military” theme retail products over the years and was pleased to see Corsair enter this realm. Their factory craftsmanship is very reputable. At $139.99, the . . .

TV and set top box user interfaces aren’t known as the most advanced UIs in the world, in fact, they’re often very high-tech, and usually quite cluttered with all sorts of useless information. Motorola now tires to fix that up with its new and innovative TV user interface. The UI, dubbed “DreamGallery”, is powered by [...]

  • UgotHeinzzd’s “Aqueum Initium” TJ09 Silverstone Custom PC.

    Updated: 2012-05-15 16:38:15
It’s hard to believe the “Aqueum Initium” PC was UgotHeinzzd’s first watercool build. His goal was to make everything look as “Clean” as possible and he succeeded in every account. The front only reveals a slimline drive and Aquareo XT display. UgotHeinzzd writes: “The name “Aqueum initium” isn’t proper writing but It’s derived from a few words out of the sentence “a watery start” and then translated to latin. I hope you understand what I meant but if you would translate “Aqueum initium” directly to English you would get something like “the aqueous”. Why that name? Because it was my fist water cooled build, as simple as that, haha.” All . . .

Not only that, it does this at 30 frames per second, meaning it handles 33MP every single second. If that’s [...]

  • “SteamPlanet” PC Case Mod by Arg0sMods.

    Updated: 2012-05-10 22:26:29
Our good friend, Arg0s (Pablo Suarez) hails from Argentina and continues to amazes us with another one of his hand crafted PC Mods! Argos (Pablo Suarez) meticulously planned out his design. Even his drafted drawing was done beautifully. Onlookers can peer into the PC through the doom porthole window. All of the details on the “Steamplanet” design were crafted by hand. He used aerosol paint to simulate the Copper and bronze metal pieces. “I created a pressure gauge to control the pressure, use a plastic cap, plastic, wood and black and gold paint. Selo screwed in place and then you connect a brass pipe for maintaining the aesthetic style.“ The left panel . . .
