  • Dow Jones Industrials opens in red but see-saws

    The 30 share benchmark index Dow Jones industrial average (DJIA) opened down by 18.39 points at 10,303.91. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (SPX) also fell by 3.36 points at 1,090.31. The tech heavy index Nasdaq Composite Index (IXIC) was down too by 13.67 points thus opening at 2,232.22.Soon after indices moved up and were trading in green for a momentarily rise but again results of European bank stress tests offset another batch of solid U.S. corporate earnings of Microsoft, Ford Motor Company, Caterpillar.

Dow Jones industrial average futures advanced 13 points, However Nasdaq 100 futures fell 1.75 points. <br /So we can expect flat opening today.

The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (SPX) fell 12.69 points at 1,058.56. The Nasdaq Composite Index (IXIC) was off 31.63 points at 2,166.60. The markets would remain in red throughout according to me.
