Edit Delete Tags Autopost Some really nice shots of obviously inverted topography related to basalt flows in the Raton-Clayton Volcanic field . Forgot that late Cenozoic volcanism was so widespread in this area and so close to Oklahoma my home' state Yikes . Finally learned that Black Mesa , Okla's highest point , is part of the volcanic field . Also found that , gasp , the lava flow at Black Mesa , OK is often listed as 180 million years old on various internet sites . Obviously that is not the case . More like 4-5 million .
