NZXT HALE82 850W Power Supply

Ryan and the gang at PC Perspective have put the NZXT HALE82 850W PSU to the test and, from the looks of it, it passed with flying colors. You can see our evaluation here for comparison purposes.

The HALE82 850W PSU is quiet at low to mid power levels and includes a good assortment of both fixed and modular cables/connectors. Overall the HALE82 850W PSU performed very well as we would expect based on previous experiences with this platform. NZXT is offering a new "Less Than Three Service", which can get you back up in running within three business days if you ever have a problem with your HALE82 PSU. And if you want virtual silence (at low power levels) and even better efficiency, NZXT's HALE90 Series may have just what you are looking for.

What do you mean this app uploads my entire address book to its servers without my permission? Is that a feature or am I just holding it wrong?

I'm not insinuating that Path is doing something nefarious with my address book but I feel quite violated that my address book is being held remotely on a third-party service. I love Path as an iOS app and I think there are some brilliant people working on it, but this seems a little creepy. I wonder how many other iOS apps actually do the same.

Legit Reviews has just published its review of the NZXT Switch 810 white case today for those of you interested. Here's a quote from the full review:

We were very impressed with several of the innovative features that NZXT put on the Switch 810, especially the consideration for pretty extreme water cooling setup with that 85mm of top clearance. The ability to drop a 420mm rad in the top and another 280mm rad in the bottom should be enough cooling for even a quad GPU setup. Placing easy to access filters on the intake fans is a real plus and should keep the dust bunnies to a minimum

The Steam Workshop makes it easy to browse the most popular, newest or highest-rated mods of all time, as well as searching for specific content via tags such as "Armor", "Quests", "Dungeons", and more.

Yep, AMD has been showing off their Lightning Bolt technology at CES. o, they are not LARPing, but if they hired that guy from the video to help market it I would give them kudos. ightning Bolt is a cheaper alternative to Intel's Thunderbolt. nandtech has more details here.
The technology is designed to be very simple and affordable. On the notebook side is a mux that combines power, DisplayPort and USB 3.0 into a single DP-like cable. The other end of the cable would connect to a Lightning Bolt breakout box that would provide USB 3.0, DisplayPort and power ports.

Mooley Eden, the general manager of Intel’s PC group, was on stage to show off the the DirectX 11 capabilities of Ivy Bridge’s HD Graphics 2500 GPU — but instead of actually driving a lap in F1 2011, Eden cheated and pressed play on a pre-rendered video in VLC.
